While many are in denial that such a thing as a North American Union between the United States, Canada and Mexico is being contemplated, others are wide awake and trying to sound a warning.

This proposed union will include such unsavory features as coordinated national security (do you want the Mexican army to be responsible for your family’s safety?), the Amero instead of the dollar (think “Euro”), open borders, free movement of workers and goods, and loss of national sovereignty.

The connecting “super highways” are already under construction. One proposed highway goes from Mexico City in the south to Churchill, Manitoba (that’s Canada, for the geographically challenged). The first checkpoint for traffic coming in from Mexico? Kansas City, MO.

Details have been buried deeply for years, but now the organizations and individuals pushing the North American Union are out in the open. Check out the North American Forum on Integration, for instance. Check out information on the website of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
