Idaho Legislator Scorecard at Idaho Conservative
Halli
An amazing scorecard for all 105 Idaho legislators is available right now at Idaho Conservative. Regardless of your political philosophy, you will find this extremely interesting. Be sure to read the explanation and methodology to fully appreciate your legislators’ votes.
The House members receiving a full 100% conservative rating on this scorecard are Representatives Dick Harwood, Bob Nonini, Paul Shepherd, J. Vander Woude, Jim Marriot and Lenore Barrett. They are joined by an additional 24 of their peers who cast only one non-conservative vote. It is traditional for the House to be the more conservative of the two bodies, but this year it demonstrated a wonderful return to grass roots conservative values, as expressed in the Idaho Republican platform.
Lawrence Denney, Speaker of the House, was joined by GOP leadership members Mike Moyle, Scott Bedke and Ken Roberts in earning 87% conservative ratings. No wonder the likes of Marty Trillhaase, of the Idaho Falls newspaper, and RINO Phil Batt are distressed about this year’s House. Other “WHINO’s” have weighed in as well. Too bad Idahoans overwhelmingly chose to send conservatives to represent them this year!
Senators with a 100% conservative rating are Monte Pearce and Russ Fulcher. They are joined by eight others with only one non-conservative vote.
As a fraction of each house, a third of senators and almost half of representatives scored 87% conservative or better.
Thank you, Adam Graham, for compiling this wonderful tool for rating the 2007 Idaho Legislature and those who represented us there.
