Stunning Address by Robert George Explains Importance of Protecting Traditional Marriage and Unborn Life
Halli
Robert George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, delivered a stunning address entitled “On the Moral Purposes of Law and Government” at the Brigham Young University Forum on October 28, 2008.
George is not a member of the LDS Church, but his studies have led him to support traditional marriage and the protection of innocent life. In this BYU address, George explains why traditional marriage and the protection of life are necessary to the preservation of our society and government.
Currently the address is accessible only as an audio or video file here. Scroll down to the October 28 program by Robert George and click on the desired delivery method. It may become available as a word file at a later date as a transcript is generated. Any word file would be accessed on the same site.
I believe this speech is a pivotal document in the ongoing and current argument on these topics. Please take the time to listen to or watch Professor George deliver it.
